One in eight Canadians are food insecure. As one of the world's richest countries today - it's unacceptable that 7 million of our parents, children, and citizens are going to bed hungry. Feeding it Forwards is here to change that. We've made an impact, but there's more to be done.
How we work
Donations
Every week, we are grateful to receive thousands of pounds of donated surplus food from our generous partners. This includes a variety of items such as bread, produce and meats that are perfectly edible but unsold; preventing them from being discarded. Max, our founder, dislikes the waste of food, and wants to make sure ALL food can be put to good use.

From here, our dedicated volunteers and drivers organize food distribution across the Lower Mainland, ensuring deliveries to numerous charitable partners, schools, hospices, and other high-need locations. At this stage, we thoroughly inspect donations received, before tracking our impact in our apps. A big thank you to our parent and student volunteers!

Step 3 : Giving Back
Finally - we give back to the community! We take the donations we receive from our 30+ partners and re-distribute food across BC, from Victoria to Kelowna. We continue to support front-line workers and sick children, and it is an honour doing such work. Our support is two-fold : reducing food waste and reducing food insecurity. Thank you to all that support our work!

Community Partners
We thank our partners for their invaluable support in our journey to combat food insecurity. It is fantastic that they are making a change in our community, and putting food on plates instead of throwing them into landfills. All in all, we impact a network of 8,000+ people with our program through the diverse network of people we support.
